WVU would be geographically a nightmare. They align more with the B1G. They are closer to Philly than their nearest SEC foe (UK at 325 miles).

If you want a G5, take UCF and Houston.

We've passed twice on West Virginia because they were an outlier and we aren't interested in any G5's. For a school to be taken they would have to bring a NET value in earning potential to the SEC of at least 62 million dollars per year with them. Only two schools meet that metric, Texas and Oklahoma. Both however would add enough to also cover Tech or OSU.

So the preference would be for them by themselves, but a pairing might be possible. But then in this 88 page thread that topic has been well covered many times. And the other pinned threads at the top of the SEC board have statistical information in them that bear this out.
