But this guy has already been keeping an eye on the Toppers. He's knew from day one of Marshall entering the MAC that we wasn't staying. Western would be different. They might not be a life long member such as Miami & Bowling Green but they would be staying longer than 8 yrs. Plus there is a team in Indiana, NY and teams in Michigan in the MAC. Im sure Chryst would see a fit there. Im not trying to flame the Sun Belt just telling ya there will be cometition for the services of WKU.
Thank you for the comments on our program and school. I think we averaged around 10K last year on attendance, but not sure exactly. Interesting that you say the MAC would be interested in WKU and that the commish has already been looking at us. Last summer, some rumors floated around about the MAC. Our A.D., at an alumni function mentioned the MAC in general chit-chat. I forget what exactly he said but that the MAC could become an option for us and that we would be interested in going to the MAC.

Nothing against the Sun Belt, I like the Sun Belt and I think we are finally making rivalries with some of the newer schools, but if the MAC gives us an invite, we're gone. The MAC is better in basketball and their are more "basketball schools." WKU is a basketball school. Now I say this comparing the MAC to the Sun Belt on Feb 20, 2004. The Sun Belt is changing and in two or three years, it could be a totally different situation for Western. But right now, if WKU got an offer from the MAC, I feel we would take it.

Before we talk too serious though, we need 1-A football first.
