Now we can turn our attention to basketball while (and I know this'll get me in trouble on this board) you all can be CUSA 3.0 and a 1 bid league. NIT for your champion if they don't win the conference tournament.
We're going P5 while UConn is looking at dropping down to FCS where they belong.
The new B12 is going the same path as the old Big East. The P4 will find a way to squeeze them out.
The situation surrounding the Big East is very different than what has happened with the Big XII up to this point. The Big East essentially dissolved, and it was the loss of certain member institutions that led to it. Losing West Virginia, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Miami, and even Rutgers left that league with none of its original members when Power Conference status was established in the BC$ era.
The only way the Big XII loses Power Conference status is if the other power conferences expand and take a large portion of the BC$ 7 that still remains in that league. But as long as a reasonable representation of West Virginia, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Baylor are still in that conference especially now with Autonomy status established in 2016, that league is not going to lose it's place as an Power Autonomy Conference.
