Ridder missed on a surefire touchdown pass on an early drive too, so it could easily be 24-0. Our defense has been pretty dominant and we're doing just enough on offense with the opportunities the D has afforded them. Pretty much textbook Cincinnati football in the Fickell era. I think one thing that separates us from a lot of other "G5" powerhouses in recent history is that we win on the line of scrimmage and with defense in general. There's no smoke and mirrors or offensive trickery in the way we win games. This team is built to compete in the trenches with really talented rosters like Notre Dame, and it's showing up in this game.

Another TD was called back in the 2nd qtr, on an illegal man down field call in the first half, that eventually led a made field goal. It could have easily been a 21-0 halftime lead.
