And the Big Ten gave Penn State a big middle finger by giving them Nebraska.

More like, coach says he wants this school, president wants someone else. Nebraska’s chancellor’s “in” with the Big Ten was UNL’s former chancellor, then president of Penn State. Perlman was in very close contact with Spanier while Nebraska was in talks with the Big Ten.
