Clearly i'm in High Point. Closer to Charlotte. My problem is I don't have a man cave as the extra bedroom in my house turned into a nursery instead of a wall chock full of TV's.

As a viewer of C-USA football, I just come away unimpressed compared to the product it put out pre-2014. The MAC and C-USA are in decline. I'd say C-USA had already his rock bottom and is rebounding but another start-up in ODU just had their worst season, nullifying that. WKU, the second place team in the East, lost to Central Arkansas. And App, as per usual, dominated a mid-tier C-USA team.

I know the final score was 56-41 but the outcome was never really in question. Roof didn't yet know what he was doing with the defense either. App is now 34th in rushing yards allowed, and 10th in passer efficiency defense. Meaning Roof finally figured it out.

Nevermind the fact that Charlotte was the week prior to UNC which it looks like App had been prepping for.

Either way. Just know that I look forward to the trash talk about how overrated App is, once again, prior to NOLA if that's where App ends up. Marshall fans seem to be the only ones here with a healthy respect for App football. As for Charlotte, the mantra can go "they hate us cause they ain't us". And then you go ahead and lose in basketball to App.

That's the biggest load of App crap I've ever seen. App was scared shitless in the Charlotte game I know it. I was there. It was obvious amongst your team and fans. It was a one score game in the last 4 minutes. App scored the last TD off an onside kick return , that if Charlotte had recovered, would have almost certainly tied the game. Neither team was able to stop the other in the second half. By the way, Charlotte is now playing MUCH better on both offense and defense than we were when we played App. I guarantee you wouldn't be scoring anywhere near 56 if we played again.

And people were scared, not because of the game, but because of the way the defense was playing. Hard to be dominant for so long and then have Ted Roof be the hire for defense, then see a performance like that in the 2nd game of the year. People were already questioning the hire to begin with but following that game there were full on "Fire Roof" threads. It ended up being premature of course because just as Charlotte has improved, so has App. The defense is almost back to how it was playing in 2018.
