Minnesota administration were ecstatic when they signed him before the win. They believed in his process and loved the excited fan base.
He was on the Florida State short list which prompted the very quik contract negotiations and approval by the Minnesota board of trustees.

Contracts have not stopped PJ from jumping ship before, but FSU is a dumpster fire right now. Also FSU is looking for a miracle coach that will win right away. That’s not PJ. He needed time at Western Michigan, needed time at Minnesota. Would definitely need time if he were to take the FSU job.
