UMKC AD gets $250,000 gift for WBB
I just saw this notice:
"Kansas City Athletics received a major donation from people who are dedicated to helping others. On behalf of the Breidenthal Foundation, McKenzie and her brother, Ben, are honoring their father’s memory by making a $250,000 lead gift for Kansas City Women’s Basketball. The gift is the largest in women’s basketball program history."

A couple of thoughts:
-The new AD can raise $$$. He has been there less than a year and had raised over $1 M before this gift. I think it can't be that easy to get a quarter million for WBB.
-The first 2 words suggest they will now be known as "Kansas City" rather than "UMKC". Other than the URL, it's hard to find UMKC on their webpage. Even their sport twitter accounts are now "KCRoos".
