I don't know if you could ever remake shows like the Hillbillies, Jeffersons, All in the Family, etc.

Today's overly sensitive society would never stand for it, even if the show was well done and humorous.

I think the "FOX-ifying" of "family shows " would really hurt someone trying to remake The Andy Griffith Show. Also the family values and family friendly comedy from that show would get turned into something different for laughs and what not. Now, his Matlock show might have a shot at being remade.

Agree that shows like The Jeffersons ( color me a fan) and All in the Family ( never really cared for it) would be tough to pull off now in the same way trying to remake Blazing Saddles would be. Their natures don't offer the card that shows like South Park and the like have in order to play off that "offensive/controversial" material.
