NU lost the first game of a 4-game series against Mizzou 5-2 in Ft. Myers, FL.

NU was down 5-1 with one out in the 9th, but a double and 2 errors cut the lead to 5-2 with two runners on.

But Jake Farrell struckout and Nolan Lang grounded out.

Farrell and Kyle Peterson and 2 hits and Scott Holzwasser hit a solo HR.

Brian Christian took the loss (0-2) going 4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K.

Andrew Misiaszek came in relief and allowed 2 ER in 4 IP (5K).

The two team scored meet for a doubleheader Saturday.

RHP Tyler’s Brown starts in game one. Game two starter TBA.
