I say stay small. fewer mouths to feed. few people outside our own schools fan bases take much notice of what goes on in the belt. having a small tight knit conference gives our teams a chance to play a game or two more against outsiders that may carry a more national following. with more national attention on our teams and some wins in those games our credibility will rise. we would be in a position to be choosey about who we let in.
