Aside from that....i must say, when I was 19 and visited New Orleans that I stopped at a small gas station and made the mistake of asking for directions. The nice old man talked to me for 5 minutes, giving me what I think were extremely thorough directions....but I didn't understand a word.

Great, genuine people....but the language is difficult to understand.

Yeah, There's no doubt The Cajun accent is very difficult to understand, but he seriously goofed badly. You can tell from his interview on Jay Walker's show that his paper ordered him to apologize to save face.
