Men's hoops and that other stuff. And before dismissing NMSU's NCAA record as old news, the last decade doesn't flatter Liberty either, as NMSU has been to the NCAA five times in the past ten years and Liberty has gone twice.

In saying that I was by no means saying that CUSA is at all likely to take NMSU ... intra-conference politics aside, I expect a school with some NCAA tournament wins and/or stronger FB performance in the past ten years would have the inside track on NMSU. But Liberty's never done anything of note in Football, so that's no help to Liberty.

There were lots of rumors that it was WKU next and then NMSU, but the NMSU never happened.

UTEP fans want nothing to do with NMSU but what their admin looks at it is different. Real cheap travel and more people in the seats.

You can bet WKU will be looking for some basketball chops and encourage others to do so.

NMSU would be one of those in the mix.
