In the big picture, it is probably good for the program that the Cajuns lost badly to USA. You already had the NO bowl wrapped up so nothing was lost there. Yes, an outright sbc title would have been nice. But, the bad loss hurt Hud's credibility some and probably ensured he will be back next year. And that is the most important thing for the Cajuns program, which gives you a better chance at making national noise next season. Lose Huds and who knows what happens next year.
