My favorite thing about this mid-major nonsense is when several years ago a player from Xavier was awarded Mid-Major Player of the Week and refused to accept it becuase he said X is not mid-major and niether is he. It was the onyl time I remember ESPN actually debating whether or not mid-major was an insult or not.



Dave weather you like it or not doesn't change the history of Western or the game of college basketball. The NIT had the better teams in their tourney in that era and for the most part the NCAA was today's NIT only both field were stronger because only the top teams played in both....but the NCAA got the pick from the schools left after the NIT made their choice.

I understand that but I can't imagine any other fan base points out things like that......I just like to go by the banners hanging in Diddle.
