I don't make my wife do anything; and I guess she simply loves what she is doing.

I was 33 when I met her and really had no intentions, or need to ever working again and was finishing up a MA degree, and jogging with the intent of going into the Peace Corps, when I met her and my plans changed.

She only had one condition for accepting my proposal for marriage and that was that I get a job, any job, until her son got out of HS, which he did 17 years ago. I’ve been piddling around every since.

what a pimp.

i tip my wide brimmed fedora to you!!!

so you hit it big with something or inherited money if you could lay on your neck in your mid 30's for the rest of your life. tell me more....please.

i woulda done this if at all possible but alas am just another prole. but i did jump on the federal tit at 17 and will be able to retire at 55 with a lay on my neck retirement. but god almighty the layin' i coulda done since mid 30's. (hatin' a little bit and admitting it)
Nope my father was was a semi-successful racecar driver most of my young life, and co-owner/manager of a small milk distributorship, later on. His family had money but did not like him, or his racing.

He taught me that ” romance without finance was a nuisance” , so I followed his advise and simply did it the ole fashion way, worked, saved and invested, and did not get married until later in life.

Also live a very modest, frugal and healthy life style.

It was also my intention to help people who had not had the opportunities I had, and as it turned out I did....through my wife and who has helped a lot of kids in her position as a school counselor.

I help big companies make more money, so I went the wrong way.
