RE: OOC games
That is a brutal loss for Delaware after a surprising OOC.

RE: OOC games
Delaware lost to Delaware State????
Ha, that just made my day...
Since Delaware fans now hide in their safe space of the Go Hens website,
here's some of the priceless fan reactions to that loss that was supposed to be a comfortable win as a 21 point favorite.

Wow. This loss was so bad it made a few Delaware fans actually wish they had Monte Ross back.

RE: OOC games
Can we finally kill the noise on how good Delaware has played OOC now?
I wasn’t buying all of the accolades thrown their way before this embarrassing loss.

RE: OOC games
Just proves all the stats, ratings, standings and etc can be thrown out the window for virtually any game. You better be focused every time you go on the court. Biggest upset of all time in my opinion was non div one Chaminaide beating Ralph Sampson led # 1 VA. At the end of the day the numbers that count are the numbers showing the final score.

It should definitely majorly temper those expectations.

RE: OOC games
http://www.gohens.net/boards/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25412 was started by a Delaware fan talking about their worst endings. A fan estimated they're at 1,400 or 1,500 losses. I'm not going to join that board to help him out, but they're at 1,176-1,304-2 (with one tie in their first season in 1905-1906 and one tie in the 1930s).
For Charleston, Northeastern, and Hofstra, any loss to the other seven could be a bad loss in the NET, RPI, and other rankings. Charleston is 61st in the NET before yesterday and 53rd in the RPI. They could need to go 14-4 in the CAA to keep their rankings where they are, and the top three are going to have games that they are guaranteed to fall in the RPI (any ranking that doesn't include margin of victory) because of how much it hurts their SOS. Furthermore, if a team is 1 or 2 games behind they can't expect much help from bad teams beating good teams. Getting the 1 seed will be a big advantage of an easier Semifinal than 2 vs. 3. Getting the 2 seed will mean a Quarterfinal against a team that played the previous day, and an easier Quarterfinal for the 2 seed could make the difference in a 2 vs. 3 game the next day.

RE: OOC games
I asked why their leading scorer and rebounder, Steven Santa Ana, didn't play, and a fan in the Elon forum said he's in a cast. Dainan Swoope played 5 games and is out for the season, which leaves Tyler Seibring as their only healthy player who started last season. With their record and schedule already poor and the CAA doing poorly, Elon could have the worst RPI by a CAA team in a long time. Considering that the amount of teams in Division I increases, it wouldn't shock me if they finish with the worst RPI rank (not percentile) in CAA history, but I have no idea what that is.
The CAA is 52-63 OOC. The only remaining OOC game is Cornell at Towson on Wednesday January 9. Towson has off January 10 before going to travel partner James Madison on January 12.

RE: OOC games
A bad team missing arguably their best player is a good recipe for another bad loss. Elon is in for a long CAA season for sure. To me they are head and shoulders the worst team in the CAA.

I agree, but just wanted to rib you a little. They still look improved but a mid pack team to me.

RE: OOC games
Towson has a home OOC game tomorrow night at 7 against Cornell (5-8, # 225 NET, # 170 RPI).
Largely an inconsequential game, but go Towson nonetheless.
