Jimmy has to be the best remaining CB at this point.

Of the 4 CBs still remaining on NFL.com that are graded ahead of Moreland, don’t know if any are projected slot like Moreland is. All 4 are bigger. 3 of them are 5’11”-6’1”, 199-201. One is from Bama, 1 from Clempson, and the kid from SDSU.
Fields from Texas might be the closest in size to Moreland, but he’s still listed 13 lbs heavier.
The kid from Kentucky has the same 5.29 grade as Moreland but is listed at 6’5”/199.
If they take Jordan Brown from SDSU abead of Moreland that would be a crock. Watching the Senior Bowl, of the doz or so I-AA players that played, Brown stuck out as being the worst.
-Got torched by WVU WR on a long ball.
-Then by beat on a slant route by the same WVU WR for a TD.
-Later beat by a different WVU WR for a TD.
The SDSU CB Brown is on Mel's Top 10 remaining players. We all know Mel dictates how scouts operate, so if he says Brown is a better option, 32 of 32 GMs will agree.
And the Bungles took him 9th pick 7th Rd, 2 picks after the Browns took a CB from Tulane who graded below Moreland (4th CB taken 6th-7th Rd who’s graded below Moreland)..

Still have a corner from Bama and a corner from Clempson graded sleightly higher.

RE: Pro Dukes
That made my month. Welcome, JF'nM. CB is not a position of "need" regardless of what Mel Kiper's of the world might say. But, he's the best player available and we can always use quality to compete for a role on the team. Smart pick by my Skins...and, I don't say that very often. Though, the Skins have had perhaps their best draft in 20+ years.

RE: Pro Dukes
Moreland 13th pick 7th Rd, 227th pick overall.
Of 50 CBs on NFL.com, Moreland’s grade was tied for 28th. He was the 30th of 32 CBs drafted. Are 2 undrafted ahead of him, ironically from Bama and Clempson. Were 4 CBs graded behind Moreland who were drafted ahead of him in the 6th-7th Rd. Moreland was the 2nd smallest CB drafted. The only one smaller was 1 of the those 4 graded lower than Moreland, the 5’9/173 Kansas St CB, the smallest and lowest graded of the 32 CBs drafted, taken 6th Rd by the Bears.

RE: Pro Dukes
Skins have a lot of bodies at corner. Jimmy has his work cut out for him.
There's of course Josh Norman, who I think is in his last year of his fat contract. Quinton Dunbar is likely the favorite at the opposite corner.
Dominique-Rodgers Cromartie kind of came out of "retirement" to sign during the offseason. He is a big question mark.
You have the 2 Hokies in Adonis Alexander and Greg Stroman. Then there's Joshua Holsey, who has been injury-prone since he arrived 2 or 3 years ago.
Danny Johnson signed as a FA last year after the draft and he worked his way onto the practice squad and then played in some games. The staff loves him.
Having said that, if Jimmy can show what I/we think he is capable of doing, he'll at minimum make the practice squad.

They give out a total of 32 picks every year based on a formula using free agents lost/signed on salary, playing time and postseason honors. Since it’s a weighted system they’re spread out over several rounds and couldn’t just add one round full of them like the 8th being all compensatory. If you lost a bunch of top free agents that cashed in then even the #1 pick in the 8th wouldn’t do you any good, so that’s why they’ll go as high as a 3rd rounder.

The Patriots have been awarded a lot of compensatory picks over the years. Not meant as the average Pats-hater comment against them. I actually think it is the brilliance of Belichick and that organization in the way they manage their roster/contracts. (and, I'm no Pats fan for full disclosure...far from it...but, I can appreciate what they do from afar)

RE: Pro Dukes
Just a reminder about late round draft picks (and in the context of the Redskins)...
...Slot Receiver, Trey Quinn, was Mr. Irrelevant last year out of SMU and picked by the Skins. He is now currently projected to be the starting slot receiver going into OTA's with Jamison Crowder having left via free agency in the offseason.

RE: Pro Dukes
No surprise, the Skins use their last pick on another Edge rusher. More competition for Ankrah, but bring it on.
The UNCheat linebacker, Holcomb, taken in the 5th round is listed as OLB, but he may be pegged to be inside as that's what it appears he played at Chapel Hell.
