RE: Pro Dukes
110 players, 55 each side. Doz (at least) I-AA players (Geographically the rosters make little sense):
North
WR Keelan Doss, UCD
WR Alex Wesley N Colorado
DT Khalen Saunders, WIU
DE John Cominsky, CSU
CB Jordan Brown, SDSU
Safety Nassir Adderly, UD
South
RB Bruce Anderson, NDSU
TE Donald Parham, Stetson
OT Oli Udoh, Elon
OT Tytus Howard, Alabama St
OG B.J. Autry, JSU
CB Jimmy Moreland, JMU

WVU had the most players of any school (5). NC State was tied with BC for the 2nd most at 4.

The people doing the Senior Bowl rosters sure are geographically challenged.01-wingedeagle
Texas players for the North but Oklahoma players on the South?
NC State players for the North but WVU players for the South?
USC & UCLA players for the North but Washington St player for the South?
USF player for the North..NDSU's RB Bruce Anderson (dnp) listed on the South's roster.

RE: Pro Dukes
Stood out (most players played 2 qtrs):
-DT Saunders from WIU (had a sack). Looked very quick for 320 lb. Showed video of him doing back flips. Projected 4th Rd pick.
-WR Keelan Doss from UCD. Couple nice receptions 2nd qtr.
-Safety Adderly from UD. An INT & in on maybe 4 tackles.
-Moreland: almost had a safety but they gave the WR forward progress. Playing basically nickel corner, maybe 2/3 of the snaps over 2 quarters, still in on about 4 tackles.
-OT from Alabama St: started at RT for the South. Looked really solid.
(Elon OT played left tackled 2nd/4th qtrs, looked ok, but got stood up a couple run plays that went nowhere and got beat once & his QB drilled).

Bad:
Corner Jordan Brown from SDSU:
-Got torched by WVU WR on a long ball
-Then by beat on a slant route by the same WVU WR for a TD.
-Later beat by a different WVU WR for a TD.

One thing I noticed about Moreland, a couple of times I noticed him hesitate like he seemed to not want to be in on any collision tackles with bigger RBs/QB. Like he was trying to avoid injury. Guess that's understandable being that he's only 175..

RE: Pro Dukes
Just like his Shrine Bowl practices, Moreland got good reviews from his Sr Bowl practices. From a few days ago:

"CB Jimmy Moreland | James Madison
Like Mack, Moreland was another late invite to the Senior Bowl after already proving his worth in the East-West Shrine game. The small-school cornerback didn’t necessarily have the size (5-foot-11 and 175 pounds) compared to his peers, but he played a lot more competitive and feisty.

Moreland matched up against Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and got the better of the two. When the two went against each other in the red-zone drill, Moreland was the only player that could stick with Renfrow, demonstrating smooth change of direction, stop/start ability and instinctive ball skills. He will be an enticing nickel cornerback option in this upcoming draft."

It's going to take the right NFL scheme to make use of Jimmy. If he had more size he probably would be as twitchy fast, but most teams are going to have concerns about him matching up against NFL size/speed receivers and NFL size RBs. He plays bigger than he is, seeing him next to that CB from Kentucky he looked like a peanut.

I thought he showed heart and aggression in his pursuit of runners. Any hesitation I saw seemed to be a product of just a week's worth of practice with some of those zone packages they were running. Like he didn't want to leave his assignment until he was absolutely sure it was a run.

This is definitely not a safety. I want to see the world through purple colored glasses, but I guess I don't.

RE: Pro Dukes
Agree a good job avoiding a blocker and blowing up that screen but it was not a Safety. Jimmy had a good game but he did get blown up on the sideline by a blocker once when going for a tackle. Also he was unable to get off a block in the end zone and a RB ran by utouched for a score. I do think he can contribute at the next level and will be drafted breaking the long streak of none of our guys getting taken in the draft.

On that TD, another defender was closer to the ball carrier and missed. Jimmy was consumed by the block and unavailable to react until it was too late.

In that tight window, he had to cover his man and the DL and LB let him get by. Jimmy could’ve been in the play, but I wouldn’t say the score was primarily his fault. Would’ve had to have left his man open to be available.

RE: Pro Dukes
What surprises me is I've heard multiple analysts say how he would be great fit in a zone defense. I think he's better in man to man. He sticks so close to receivers....

Rules kept everything vanilla:
I. OFFENSE
Personnel

Offensive personnel packages will be limited to three (3):
(2) Running Backs, (1) Tight End, (2) Wide Receivers
(1) Running Back, (2) Tight Ends, (2) Wide Receivers
(1) Running Back, (1) Tight End, (3) Wide Receivers
https://www.seniorbowl.com/playing-rules.php

I'd say the majority of the time, maybe 2/3, the North went with the 3 WR set, and that's when Moreland was in. He was in little to none on the 2 WR sets. Forgot to mention he was almost always matched up with the inside smaller slot WR, which makes sense. As the rules stated, zone was allowed, but they mostly played man.

Ishmael Hyman had a 60 yard touchdown in the Orlando Apollos’ first preseason game (scrimmage?):

Couldn’t find anything specific on Ankrah but a quote on the DL:
“Orlando’s front seven was especially impressive. They sacked San Diego’s quarterbacks seven times.”

According to the API offered by the AAF:

Ishmael Hyman had 2 catches for 68 yards and a TD. He was targeted a third time for a second deep ball but it was incomplete. Looks like a potential deep threat for Orlando.

Andrew Ankrah also had a great game. 2 sacks, Forced a fumble and 4 tackles.

Akrah is really the one guy who surprised me that he wasn't on an NFL roster last season. Beyond the accolades like the BB award, he really did look like a man among boys his last two years much the way Akeem Jordan or Arthur Moats did when they graduated. He has the size and speed to be an OLB or DE in the NFL. Hopefully AAF launches him to the 'show'.
