Interesting

Had Tokoto not gone to Philadelphia with the 3rd to last pick, UNC would have been shut out

Does that list get smaller if you include the MLB draft?

Yeah, I was a little surprised that UNC had no one taken in the NFL draft. This was just a quick scan on my part so the numbers may be off by a team or two. Feel free to check my data. Either way, Tre and Marcus are a couple of solid young men who have earned the right to play at the next level.

It probably would trim it down by another couple of teams. The MLB draft is so extensive with so many schools involved, I couldn't muster the effort to sift through their draft. It would be interesting to see how much smaller the group gets.

RE: The Power 21
Tribe Athletics posted something on Facebook that only 17 schools nationally had one drafted in all 3, and we're the only one outside the P5. That means Eastern Washington, Wyoming, and two others had no one in the MLB draft.

It actually doesn't take TOO long, since you can sort by school in the MLB tracker. I put in this work for you guys.

Eastern Washington, Wyoming, Kansas and Wisconsin all failed to have players taken in the MLB draft for one reason or another (does Wisconsin have a baseball program, for instance?)

So 17 schools had players taken in all 3 drafts. W&M is one of the 17.

Thanks for doing the research. And you're right, Wisconsin doesn't have a baseball team. I only know this because I was watching the CWS and it came up about Wisconsin being one of (maybe the only?) the Big Ten school's without a baseball team.

Meaning you guys are the only mid-major school in the country to have at least one player taken in the NBA, NFL and MLB drafts.

RE: The Power 21
Thanks Seahawk for doing the extra leg work I was too trifling to attempt. Kind of cool to be the only non P5 school in the group. Guess we could change the thread title to Power 17 or in true William and Mary fashion, something more elitist sounding. Any suggestions?

This. It's quite a coup. For a recruit to consider the value of a W&M degree and the real possibility of being drafted if they excel, it should be quite a hook.

How many days until http://www.tribeathletics.com has a picture of our drafted players standing together in their uniforms with the caption, "PRESIDENTS and PROS."

Posters with our 2015 drafted players and CAA Athlete of the Year should litter our athletic buildings, programs, and games.

It's not like we have a bunch of championships to boast about so ride this thing into the ground.
