Yeah, the longer it's down, the more permanent it looks.

CAAZone is dead, long live CSNbbs!

The sad thing is that this was happening there even when Mason was in the league. Without football at GMU, they fail to see the point of keeping downtime minimal in the summer. When VCU's fans left the Zone, I got upset at them because it appeared they were running from open conversation. But the site issues have worsened & each time it happens, another school's base has vacated. Drexel is pretty much the only active board over there now.

I'll happily take on and setup anybody from the other teams who wants a home.

I'd communicate that to the Drexel fans, but the Zone is my only way to communicate with them. Also, warpig (or maybe metsox, can't remember which) had some kind of strong opinion that going to a better-functioning site was a deadly sin.

I grew fed up last year after the 99th unplanned outage. Luckily, that outage was the impetus to get JMU over here.

The GMU guys were great, but I think they saw the writing on the wall with VCU/ODU/JMU fans leaving the site over the last 3 years. The traffic has fallen off a cliff, and they might not want to spend resources to keep it going.

I expect caazone will be no more.

Where are the other schools posting that aren't using this site? I know Delaware has a different one they use, but I'm not sure about the others.

Strangely enough they do. outside of Drexel they probably have the most fans that still post on the zone.

Yes.....RIP. I had some good times over on that site. The CAAZone has been the bellwether for the conference.....and it has been going downhill for a few years.

RE: What is going on with the CAA Zone?
I have fond memories of the CAA Zone in it's hayday. The ability to read [and for some, to post on] the message boards of other teams in our Conference was really neat, and could be very entertaining, especially when the opposing team players were arrested, whatever, etc..

Plus, because there were many years of postings on the CAA Zone there was the opportunity for a newcomer to the Zone, which I was at one time, to read all of the old posts about the teams and players, - which was fascinating "history" in some cases.

RE: What is going on with the CAA Zone?
Yeah, that's the one thing I liked more about the Zone. Most of the CAA teams used it. Here, it's just us and JMU with a big presence, while UNCW/Towson have smaller boards.

VCU, GMU, ODU, GA St, and JMU made CAAzone like the Five Points. I loved pushing their buttons.

RE: What is going on with the CAA Zone?
You can always make accounts on the other schools sites… It's not the same as CAAZone, obviously, but it's still something. I check them pretty regular just to see what's going on with other conference schools.
