And USA just gave away a game against (insert opponent) in the 4th quarter. Victory (insert opponent)!!
I know that game is fresh in ya'lls minds because it was the last one, but that thing has been long forgotten by Cajun fans. Onward to bigger and better things.
Famous words of the loser. Us winners remember it well. lol
No sounds like a team that played its bowl game before bowls were announced. Hang your hat on that victory you earned but where did it get ya.
I'm thinking it got them bragging rights over ULL.
All the talk of "we've forgotten about that loss" talk is BS. The Cajun's haven't forgotten about it, and neither has the rest of the conference. That's why USA is on everybody's radar as an up and coming potential contender. Until proven otherwise - they are in the running imop just like everybody else, I'm not ready to give up the crown to anybody myself.
Not BS. Seriously. I mean if you want a good feel for how the Cajun faithful feel about the football team then just head over to Ragin Pagin or our Scout board. Hot items: stadium expansion, 2014/15 recruiting class, spring practice, upcoming spring game.
That's in addition to talking about our top 20 softball team, top 5 baseball team, basketball winning the conference tourney and making the dance, Elfrid Payton leaving for the draft.
The loss to USA 4 months ago which came prior to our 3rd straight bowl win stopped being talked about not long after the game ended. Fans were caught up planning the trip to NO and talking about the matchup with Toolame potentially without Broadway.
But I should take your word for how the fan base I belong to and interact with daily feels about the loss right? Please. I'm not saying no one remembers it, but we care so little about it that when I see a USA fan use it as smack it always makes me chuckle.
It's understandable why USA fans still have it fresh on their minds. Their traditionally strong programs (baseball, basketball) are struggling right now, and outside of softball, that win was the last significant win to hang their hat on.
