Colorado will be a huge revolving door. We need to know if we had any recruiting targets there.

There's video of Coach Sanders telling the Colorado players he's bringing his own guys in so they might want to hit the portal.

The video of deion was embarrassing. He came off looking bad. More embarrassing were the suckers buying his garbage. Works at Jackson St let's see it work in FBS P5

Hmmmm I disagree.

Sanders is well connected with NFL coaches. Who turned around UofMs defense last season and this season? Two very young no-name coaches with NFL experience. Sanders ain’t lying when he states he’ll get incoming recruits great coaches who will teach them what and how to play in the NFL. So that covers the scheme. Now how about players. He got 3-4-5 star recruits to play at Jackson State. Now add in better facilities, better visibility and lucrative NIL money and I think prime will get some talent. So that covers players.

In summary, Prime will have great coaches (schemes) mixed with great talent. That’s a recipe for success. May take him a couple of seasons but I would not doubt Colorado is bowl eligible in year 2.

I’m not buying or selling Prime but the facts speak for themselves.

Luckey, this may be the 1st time I can recall that we disagree.

I think the presser was bad and I'm still not buying that he can get the guys to Colorado. perhaps I'm just not a bug fan of his. I think he's phony and his son helped him win in the SWAC. I just don't think it works in the PAC12

Time will tell, Steve. Time will tell.

Total roll of the dice by Colorado. Mel Tucker spends one season there, goes 5-7 overall and 3-6 in conference and yet lands a job at MSU. Reminds me of Ron Cooper. Colorado is a lousy job, no hot prospect is returning your call. Prime is indeed a "hail Mary", but why not?

Disagree that Colorado is a lousy job. Boulder is an awesome city with great views, close proximity to Denver, and no natural in-state competition with CSU being awful and Air Force recruiting different types of players.

I don't think the program plays to Deion's strengths but he probably sees a chance to take over the conference with two major players leaving soon.

Agree. I've been to a game at CU. It's awesome. Boulder is a lot like Ann Arbor, only with mountains.

Boulder is a GREAT city, I agree. That said, we all are ALL white guys and feel very comfortable in a city that has less than an 1% African-Amercian population.

It has also been the doormat of the Pac-12, arguably the worst of the P5 conferences for some time and is losing two of its marquee programs. It does not appear to have a rabid booster base either. I suspect it may end up in the Mountain West with CSU when the smoke clears and few in Colorado will care. Just my opinion.

You mean Boulder is similar to...almost every college town? Utah as a state is very white, their school just won the PAC-12. Wisconsin, Iowa, Oregon...all pretty white all successful college football programs. Denver/Boulder is also thought of as one of the more progressive places, as opposed to places like Alabama or Mississippi which...aren't...hasn't hurt those schools.

There is another great example of a school in an area similar to Colorado that had a lot of success...COLORADO! They won conference titles and a NATIONAL TITLE in the 80s/90s, made multiple Big 12 title games in the 2000s, had a Heisman Trophy winner (who was black and didn't seem to mind going to Boulder), great players like Kordell Stewart and Michael Westbrook, and then more recently Jimmy Smith, Nate Solder, and David Bakhtiari.

Deion may or may not be successful, time will tell, but history shows us you can be successful at Colorado and I don't think the racial makeup of the Boulder community will matter much, if at all.

i cant think of a P5 school that has hired as many black head coaches as colorado

Monmouth must have taken it down since I posted this. Oliver Jervis, OL, Grad transfer. Looks like a good fit for the Eagles.

RE: 2022 Transfer Portal - steve4840 - 12-15-2022 10:00 AM

Some of the top players in the MAC are in the portal. The fact that we don't have a lot of guys (the only one that I think stings is Westmoreland who I think would have been a good #2 or 3 next year) in the portal I think speaks to the culture CC has created.

Could guys opt in after the bowl game? Maybe but so far so good.

We will be returning a LOT of playmaker and difference makers next year if we don't get killed by the portal

Yeah, w. an early bowl, our transfer may wait.
