Down 32-43 to a very average IPFW team! I'm sorry in 5 games, Heath has failed! This team doesn't look much better then last season's team, with substantially more talent! Heath is 219-231 for his career coaching record! Take out the 30-6 season at Kent St, which he simply inherited then 189-225!

The aura on having Emoni Bates is wearing off with every loss. Heath needs to find out who is going to play defense, rebound, make free throws at this point or the Ls will keep adding to his overall record.

A Free Throw is a Free Throw, doesn't matter if it is a "1 in 1", "And 1", or a normal 2. We miss way to many to be successful.
It comes down to the basics with these guys turnovers, defensive and free throws. All the talent in the world will not just make those things happen. It comes from effort, practice and working as a team on the court.

Hmmmm, a team with this much talent should not have started 1-4 against the competition they were facing. At least these were close losses with the exception of the Bradley game. But once frustration starts setting in, things can really spiral out of control fast… the coaching staff will need to right the ship fast.
As for the aura of the Emoni Bates season, I think that is already over in terms of drawing anymore fans than the initial bump in season tickets. But hopefully this season turns around so those additionsl fans will enjoy their experience and keep coming after Emoni is drafted to the NBA in the spring.
