Liberty is going to have a tough time in Arkansas. Our #1, #2, and #3 QB's all have injuries and sickness. If the #4 guy Hampton has to go, don't see how we have any shot.

This has been one crazy year at the QB position. Just when JB seemed to have turned the corner, he comes down with the flu. Hampton hasn’t played enough to get any sense of how he will do as a starter. But having to play Arkansas as your first start isn’t the ideal scenario for success.

Nate was a high 3 star out of high school. His, JB & Salter's issues this season is that, most likely, was that Brewer got most of the 1st team snaps during camp. issues any 2-4 stringer would have. He'll be fine. But I expect JB & Brewer will fight through and play. But wouldn't be sruprised to see all 3 play.
After Hampton, we have walk-ons. Our 5th stringer, Sean Brown (also a 3 star out of HS) has been out all season with an injury as well.

Brewer’s grip isn’t back to full strength yet. He possibly may play some Saturday, but I don’t think he’s 100% yet. Salter had groin surgery. When you’re dealing with the groin area, that takes time to heal. Bennett may possibly play some, but again, he not 100% because he’s getting over the flu.

I thought Brewer's hand would have been better by now. I guess hand injuries can be tricky. Unless Freeze is just keeping everyone guessing and playing games, but word was Hampton was only real QB practicing with most of the reps. As for Salter, he had groin surgery, and we have gotten few details, so who knows how long he is out.

Freeze is playing it cagy. I've watched several of his interviews and team reports and he's consistent with, "they're bigger, stronger, more talented" and "they are expected to win". He's trying to appear as the weak, overwhelmed FBS newbie justified as 2 touchdown underdogs.
With a bye week before the game to prep, the LU locker room motivation has to be this is an opportunity as no one expects you to win. Play your best and let the results speak for themselves.
And how well does the LU defense play? Defense is the key area that will keep LU in the game and give it a chance for the upset. All the Hawg talking heads say LU's defensive stats are against weak teams and list LU's strength of schedule as the reason. True LU has a weak schedule. And it is possible to have both. A strong defense with a weak schedule. Defense is the key if LU has a chance to win this game.
Freeze will create a plan to score points even with the QB quandary. LU defense vs. the Hawgs offense is the key component.
