I feel like S. Miss could beat Liberty since it’s a home game for them and the first game of the season. Plus Liberty is breaking in a new QB to our system and has a new OL coach. And USM may be feeling inspired to come out strong for their new conference. I hope and believe we can win. We shall see.

Whew wee! Glad we pulled that one out.
Salter looked pretty darn good.
Lot of penalties.

Unfortunate we didn't get Salter in until the 4th quarter, but it gives a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season. Was looking forward to a Charlie Brewer led offense,. If he's out for six weeks with a fracture, not sure how he regains the position, unless salter falls apart. Feel really bad for the guy.
