Michigan and CSU tipping off the round of 64 now.

RE: NCAA tournament 2022 - Bronco'14 - 03-17-2022 01:01 PM

UMich ahead 6 almost over. CSU going down

RE: NCAA tournament 2022 - MileHighBronco - 03-17-2022 02:04 PM

Was hoping to see CSU beat Michigan and South Dakota St upset Providence but it was not to be.

Still there are chances for a Cinderella to emerge.

These two days are my two favorite days in sports each year.

Keep an eye on Richmond. Would be cool to see them take down the B1G champ.

I feel for Mr. Whinny. Would hate to be an Iowa fan right now. They got jobbed big time by the officiating in the last two minutes. Even the announcers couldn't avoid talking about it.

While I love to see upsets, that one leaves a sour taste in the mouth. That officiating crew deserves criticism. Big difference btw 'letting them play' (which I love) and not calling obvious fouls. It absolutely changed the game at that point.

I can't root for the Spiders just because of how they won. They played hard and well and it is not their fault that the refs sucked. I'm sure that there will be another upset and a Cinderella team will emerge.

I didn't do a bracket this year and don't really care who wins the whole thing. Just want to see good hoops and to not really notice the officials.

Interesting 1/16 seed game going on right now. Gonzaga only up 2 at the half vs. Georgia State. Zags will probably blow it open in the second half, but still a nice tight game thus far.

UMich will probably go on a run. Never count them out till they're out.

UM road has serious obstacle ahead with Tennessee next

Looks like another #5 - #12 upset. New Mexico St. just took down UCONN 70 - 63.

Coach Cal loves those one and done's.

RE: NCAA tournament 2022 - bronconick - 03-17-2022 10:05 PM

Akron up 26-25 on UCLA at halftime.

RE: NCAA tournament 2022 - bronconick - 03-17-2022 11:04 PM

Akron up 4 with 3 minutes left and UCLA just went on 8-0 run to lead 55-51 with 1:16 left.

RE: NCAA tournament 2022 - bronconick - 03-17-2022 11:06 PM

55-53 with 25.2, 15 on shot clock left. Bruins ball.

RE: NCAA tournament 2022 - bronconick - 03-17-2022 11:12 PM

Akron shot blocked on a layup with 5 seconds left. UCLA wins 57-53, ends on 15-4 run.

Thought the officials took the game away from Akron with the sketchy 4th foul call on Freeman and the blocking foul that should have been a charge on the Bruins.

I was honestly more shocked by Saint Peter's over Kentucky than I was by UMBC's win over Virginia (although the margin of UMBC's was wild).

Power 5 always pulls away tight games in the final couple minutes.

Completely agree. Terrible non-charge call. Changed the game big time. Freeman is a beast! I’ll just say…Akron looked much better than they did in their loss (and other near loss at home) to the Broncos!

Their entire athletic budget is less than Coach Cal's yearly salary. The 3rd assistant basketball coach isn't a paid position.
