2022 NFL Offseason - BobcatEngineer - 03-08-2022 02:14 PM

A couple of big news stories in the NFL have dropped in the last few days:

  • Packers are making Aaron Rodgers the highest paid athlete in NFL history...

  • The Seahawks and The Broncos have agreed to a trade that involves sending Russell Wilson to Denver. Wilson spent 10 seasons and won a Super Bowl for Seattle...

  • Falcon's star wide receiver Calvin Ridley will miss the entire 2022 season after getting caught betting on NFL games...

The Seahawks can thank the Rams, and the results of their trade for Stafford, for netting Seattle such a big haul for Wilson.

Quote:HOUSTON -- A grand jury has declined to indict Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson following a police investigation sparked by lawsuits filed by 22 women who have accused him of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct during massage sessions.

The announcement on Friday came nearly a year after the first civil lawsuit was filed against Watson.

A grand jury in Harris County returned nine no bills on the nine criminal complaints presented to it. As a result, the criminal proceedings in Harris County have concluded, according to prosecutor Johna Stallings.

I wonder where he'll end up... Maybe the Bucs now that Brady's gone?

The Seahawks are lucky that they got what they did. Wilson had a no trade clause in his contract, apparently he told Schneider no to Philly and Washington but yes to Denver. John Schneider deserves a hell of a lot of credit for getting what he did.

Looks like Tom Brady will be back with the Bucs next season!

Unbelievable...

Quote:Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has decided that he wants to play for the Cleveland Browns, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Browns and Texans are still finalizing the trade compensation for Watson, but it is expected to include three first-round picks, a third-round pick and potentially a fifth-round pick, league sources told ESPN.

The Browns are set to give Watson a new five-year, $230 million contract, sources told Schefter. He would receive $184 million over the first four years of his new contract -- a $48 million raise over what he was scheduled to make under his current contract.

Now I want to see a playoff game in which the team that gets the OT kickoff scores a TD, and the other team then scores a TD and goes for 2 to try to win the game instead of giving the ball back to the first team.

I'm sure it'll happen.

Do wonder if in weather situations you see teams actually take the wind in OT now rather than the ball.

the insane NFL offseason continues-

RE: 2022 NFL Offseason - Wedge - 03-30-2022 08:52 PM

Did Brady know this when he decided to un-retire, or did he find out today like the rest of us?

RE: 2022 NFL Offseason - Erictelevision - 03-30-2022 10:14 PM

Don’t understand why they keep messing with the OT rule! They fixed what wasn’t broken. If you want to win, score first or don’t let the game get to OT to begin with.

Game shouldn't hinge on a coin toss. They had to do it. Now team that wins coin toss actually has to play defense as well.
