Absolutely. A fantastic effort.
And Cota was excellent out of the pen as well. Hood had Gair warming in the 8th and Hodges warming in the 9th, but didn't end up needing either. Thus, our whole pen outside of Cota will be available tomorrow as we try to take 3 of 4.
Only 3 pitchers were used in total today between the 2 teams. Gotta love a 2 hour and 15 minute game.

Hawks up 3-0 on the Buckeyes in the 6th in a fast-moving contest, as the Hawks look to take 3 of 4.
Phelan has been highly efficient on the hill and the defense has been superb. Only 2 baserunners all day so far for the Buckeyes.
Offensively, Lifrieri has driven in 2 of the 3 runs, one on a solo HR and the other on an RBI double. Marsh tripled in the other run for the Seahawks.

He hit 98 mph on the gun just now. Unfortunately it was hit for a solo HR.

Next up: ECU comes to Brooks on Tuesday at 6. It’ll be our second straight opponent that we knocked out of the 2018 Regional in Greenville.

I was stoked about going to the ECU game on Tuesday, but my dad invited me and the family for dinner that night. Since he is leaving the country for work this week, I will be listening to the end of this one in the car on the drive home

Barring a dramatic change of fortunes, no CAA team is currently anywhere close to at-large bid contention. The league is ranked # 21 in the RPI, and we have 0 teams in the top 100 in the RPI.
Northeastern (# 106), at 12-7-1, is the top team per RPI, followed by us (# 122), Delaware (# 158) and W&M (# 170). Despite taking 2/3 from ECU over the weekend, Charleston only moved up to # 228.
Our remaining helpful RPI games in non-conference play:
* vs. ECU (3/22): # 74
* @ UNC (3/29): # 15
* @ Coastal (4/5): # 96
* @ NC State (4/12): # 119
* @ ECU (4/19): # 74

In baseball, UNCW is generally looking to get into normal top 25 but we are rebuilding.
