Didn't follow the game as I usually do - granddaughters dance recital - didn't have a variety of choices if you know what I mean. Pitching was on - 11 K's & 1 walk. Good job! Add to that no errors! Nicely done guys!

RICHMOND, Va. (May 21, 2022) – Following an exciting conclusion to a competitive regular-season race, the pairings are set for the 2022 CAA Baseball Championship, which will be held May 25-29 at Latham Park in Elon, N.C.
The six-team, double-elimination tournament gets underway on Wednesday, May 25 as fourth-seeded William & Mary (26-21, 14-10 in CAA) faces #5 Northeastern (28-27-1, 10-14 in CAA) at Noon, followed by #3 Hofstra (26-21, 15-9 in CAA) against #6 Elon (25-26, 9-14 in CAA) at 4 p.m.
On Thursday, action starts at 11 a.m. with an elimination game between the losers of Wednesday’s contests. Top-seeded Charleston (36-17, 19-5 in CAA) takes on the lowest-seeded winner from Wednesday’s games at 3 p.m., followed by #2 UNCW (31-22, 15-9 in CAA) against the highest-seeded winner from Wednesday’s contests at 7 p.m.
Tournament action continues with three games on Friday and another at 1 p.m. on Saturday, setting the stage for the CAA championship game set at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
All-session tickets are $75 for the general public and $40 for students from a participating institution with a valid ID. Single-day tickets are $20 for the general public and $12 for students. For more information, visit elon.universitytickets.com.

Yet another advantage of beating out Hofstra for the 2-seed: The 3-seed has to face host Elon on day 1.
I doubt Elon will have a tremendous home field advantage, given that they went 17-18 in home games on the season vs. 7-8 on the road. But still.

Gather will have to factor in for the Hawks to have their best chance. He looked very good today and has been lights out all year with a terrific WHIP.
Hawks have played much better as of late and are peaking at a good time.

Hawks' playing their best ball of the year going into the CAA tournmanent. If Bridges has really turned around his bat and can even do half of what he did at JMU, that's a game changer for UNCW.

Gaither could be the wildcard here with Phelan looking like he might have hit the wall with a significant drop in velocity. On the other side of the ball a potential game changer with Noah Bridges hitting the ball would be enormous for the team .
