Though Towson is using today’s games
as a “staff day”, they’re keeping it a close one against our pen. It’s now 8-5 in the top of the 6th, and Towson has runners at the corners with 1 out.

With W&M and Delaware losing today, the Seahawks now find themselves in 2nd place, chasing Charleston (10-2).
We now hit the road for our next 4: @ ECU on Tuesday night, followed by the next weekend series @ Delaware (5-4).

Couldn't throw strikes from the start and we're not going to win many game putting two runs on the board. This is a rebuilding year, no doubt. The extra years that kept upperclassmen around helped us play well the past two years, but it limited the development of the young guys and bloated our roster. We're going to pay for that now and maybe into next year.

The pitching staff is young but the lineup is anything but that . Losing the starting pitching has been a real challenge but looks like it might be turning around a little of late . Biggest deal by far has been walking batters and we all know that walks score . Going on the road with 3 freshmen starters will be an adventure into the unknown and the bullpen will have to be on red alert for sure .

Correct, I don't post or comment much on this page..... most comments I read are pretty comical, easy to tell the individuals have probably never step foot on the diamond after 12 years old. From where I stand at the ballpark and listen to others, I'm not that critical of the head coach, the players he writes down on the starting lineup, need to execute better every game, but out of the 14 losses this season, several fall directly on coaching( all coaches) moves. I really hope the coaching staff and team getting rolling... the time is now to be moving in winning direction heading into tournament.

In game 1 of the series with Delaware, the Seahawks trail 2-1 in the top of the 6th.
This is a pretty important series, as the Seahawks enter the weekend in 2nd place (6-3, .667) and Delaware is 3 spots below them, sitting in 5th (5-4, .556) despite just one game in the loss column separating them.
Mongero's RBI single in the 5th produced the only Seahawk run thus far. Sales has given up a pair of XBH, including a HR, but otherwise has been sharp, tossing 47 of his 65 pitches for strikes, with 4 K's and 0 walks.
Delaware's park, Bob Hannah Stadium, has small dimensions (320 to LF, 330 to RF) so a pitching duel like this is always a bit surprising, even in a Friday night game.

Hawks just put together a big 7th inning. 4 hits in the inning, including a 2-run single by Suggs and 2-run triple by Croom in back-to-back AB's, produced 4 runs.
5-3 Seahawks, bottom 7th.
