The OVC conference has officially added Southern Indiana after adding Little Rock a couple of months ago. Rumors are that Lindenwood, just outside St. Louis, will be added next. Looks like the OVC is stabilizing after several "defections". These 2 latest additions are an easy drive from Chicago. Seems to me that the OVC makes the most sense for Chicago State. From your end does it appear that the OVC will invite Chicago State? How likely are you to accept an invitation, if offered? Culturally, the MEAC may be a better fit, but geographically (financially) the OVC seems to make much more sense.

The other day, a St Louis Blues tv guy mentioned Lindenwood would be going D1 in a couple weeks. I didn't put much stock in it, but then CollegeAD tweeted the same thing a couple days later.
So I think the OVC is adding Lindenwood, and then some combo of WIU/UAPB/Lincoln Memorial.
The only credible report on CSU so far, that I know of, is the school is in talks with the MEAC, per HBCU Gameday who has always been credible.

Not a "peep" out of UAPB regarding a possible move. Most folks here seem to believe that it is highly unlikely UAPB would leave the SWAC. I am in Little Rock and a fan of UALR, so I have no info at all. Still you would think that something would leak out if this was being considered.

No surprise there. But is there any truth to the rumor that the OVC turned them down? That would surprise me. I hope that Chicago State will have both options open to them and then make the decision that they feel is best for their future.
