While Illinois State is a good school, it doesn't really move the needle in football or basketball and it doesn't bring many more television sets. Better options in my view would include:
1. North Dakota State and South Dakota State.
2. Massachusetts and Stony Brook.
3. Western Kentucky and any one of the schools in (1) or (2) except South Dakota State.
All this assumes the Division I landscape does not change. If Division I were to undergo a big restructuring that diminished the value of MAC football, perhaps Illinois State and a less expansive footprint would make more sense.

That is what I thought at first, bit I see what bobcat is talking about. There is an area on the front page that you can scroll to the school logos that are grayed out.
It shows all 12 members and Valpo's logo. There are no other Affiliate members logos in this area except Valpo.

right! i thought at first it was an affiliate membership thing, but i know we have more affiliate members than Valparaiso. Wrestling has several the last time i looked. i just thought it was very odd or just another mistake by the MAC office. or both!
