Conference USA HQ - rtist - 01-21-2022 09:28 PM

Conference USA currently has it's headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Do any of you think it may be a good idea to move the C-USA HQ to another location?

Aw heck no. It still lives in Dallas! It can’t leave when we leave. Judy is apparently on house arrest and can’t leave the neighborhood. Don’t stop that now!

No, not at this time. Not a financial priority for the league.

I recommend a move to Coppell, Texas.
There’s a nice little spot a block down from the Rodeo Goat that would be perfect

When it originally moved there from Chicago when CUSA 2.0 came to fruition, they should've instead, moved it to the Nashville area. Just my two cents on the subject matter.

No. Why?

I’ve heard it’s moving to Lynchburg, VA

Now that would make sense. They’re definitely the school the remaining members seem to be counting on to save them.

They should move to Shreveport, LA. Not only is it pretty central to the conference footprint but the move from Dallas to Shreveport would really epitomize what’s happened to the conference lol

I don’t see reason to move it. Better PR and marketing/advertising would be nice though (we have the dumbest conference tv ads)

I do think the office could eventually move if UTEP and New Mexico State are brought into the Mountain West, which could happen maybe even in less than 10 years. Now that the streamlined constitution of D1 has opened up Pay-for-Play, and a stark division between the Gang of 5 and Power 5 separatng into new subdivisions is imminent, geography could become a big factor in realignment at the non-autonomy conference level.

If the office moves, it should move to a destination not frequented by other Division 1 conferences and not necessarily in a city where a member would exist. It should be in a place that offers tourism, comfortable weather year-round, and could be economically beneficial for conference postseason destinations not crowded by other D1 conferences. My preferred future spot would be in the panhandle of Florida--Pensacola or Panama City. I would also consider Biloxi, Mississippi or possibly Mobile, Alabama.

You mean the little girl reading Title IX reqs? Unbelievable yo think that someone thought that would be a commercial to use on our conference games all year. No highlights or cool themes, let’s have a little girl read a script. So very Judy. So very CUSA. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who thought that was dumb.

RE: Conference USA HQ - Eagleyed - 01-22-2022 05:45 PM

The conference just recently built whole new nice offices in Texas. I doubt they would move after all that. It couldn't have been cheap and to just do it all again would not be smart.

Did you forget who we’re talking about?

If you told Judy to move the HQ to a more centralized location, she would probably choose a spot halfway between Las Cruces and El Paso.

RE: Conference USA HQ - gdunn - 01-22-2022 06:47 PM

Hell she’s considering using the exit fees from the 9 for a new toy jeep fleet

RE: Conference USA HQ - FAU Connoisseur! - 01-22-2022 07:01 PM

Out of curiosity...when was the last time ANYONE has walked through the doors of any conference hq?

RE: Conference USA HQ - AssKickingChicken - 01-22-2022 07:53 PM

Does it really matter where it is? As far flung as the new CUSA is, it might as well be as centralized as possible and Dallas is as good a spot as any. Maybe look to move it if the two far west members leave, but we can worry about that if it happens.

You don't understand how this works.
