Stony Brook is joining CAA as full member - ibby10 - 01-19-2022 07:00 PM Jeff Goodman @GoodmanHoops Stony Brook is a done deal to the CAA, source told @Stadium. CAA also set to add Hampton and Monmouth, and could still target anywhere from 2-4 more teams at some point. Final approval on Stony Brook, Hampton and Monmouth expected early next week. I’m very excited. I think we will bring a lot to the conference. Let’s go Seawolves! RE: Stony Brook is joining CAA as full member - mikeinsec127 - 01-21-2022 09:34 PM Who do you think the AE will go after to replace SBU and possibly Hartford if it drops down? RE: Stony Brook is joining CAA as full member - ibby10 - 01-23-2022 09:32 PM Not sure tbh. AE core members are all public research institutions. Except Hartford which is dropping down to div3. I would assume AE wants similar minded public+research institutions. But there aren’t any in the conference footprint. NEC schools would be next best candidates if they can park their football in Big South conference. That would be nice but I highly doubt we will see Stony Brook fans posting here. We already have a pretty active forum: http://sbufan.createaforum.com/index.php |
