Added todays spreads... it does not appear any more of tonight's games have been postponed.

Good game going on here in Akron. Akron rallied from down 14 to tie it up 60-60 with 4 minutes to go. These look like the best two teams in the MAC right now.

CMU shooting pretty well and surpring me compared to their record. 2 starters out for them too. Rockets up 11 at half.

Ohios crowd is loud on tv. Akron has sweet jerseys though.

MAC tourney feel in the JAR. Sears is a player! Carter with a finishing dunk. BOBCATS win by 6.

RE: Men's Basketball Games Week 9 (1/3 Thru 1/9) - kreed5120 - 01-04-2022 08:03 PM

Ohio wins 69-63. Akron failed to get it done at the ft line shooting 9/17. Not going to cut it against Ohio, especially since Akron was without Trimble. Ohio defense will give MAC teams trouble this year. Already looking forward to a rematch.

That will be in The Convo.

Bold of you to assume it won't be postponed

Maybe Dwight Wilson III will be back in OU's lineup by then! He will provide more strength at the basketball and give OU the ability to play with extra size when needed. OU missed his size and strength against Kentucky and LSU in our 2 losses this year.

Just got home from the game. Very entertaining last 10 minutes. Certainly had a MAC tourney feel. Rematch will be fun with (hopefully) full rosters for sure. Freeman might be my favorite non-bobcat in the MAC. Just enjoy watching him play the game.

Rockets clamp on D and go on a good run to end the game. Win by 28.

The Mac is going to be an all out war this year! Competitive game between Akron and Ohio, watched a lil bit of emu vs wmu, the Noah Farrakhan kid is worth a watch I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on one of the mac teams at the end of the year

RE: Men's Basketball Games Week 9 (1/3 Thru 1/9) - Eagle66 - 01-04-2022 09:07 PM

EMU gets the road win at WMU 85-79 in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicates. Farakahn will almost certainly be on one of the All-MAC teams.

Kent also just won in Muncie 66-65 over Ball State. Back and forth ending.

RE: Men's Basketball Games Week 9 (1/3 Thru 1/9) - Lester - 01-04-2022 09:21 PM

I watched most of the Kent - Ball State game. Announcers said that it was Sincere Carry's fifth straight game playing 40 minutes. Certainly didn't notice any loss of energy, as he had the ball in his hands and made plays in the last several minutes of a close game.

Kent led by 3 early in the game and Ball St. led by 4 a number of times. Neither team could get any separation. Kent had the ball last.

I was surprised Whitfield didn’t call a TO before their last shot. Good win for Kent

Should be a good game on Friday!

Noah Farrakhan is perhaps the best point guard in the MAC so far. I don’t say that lightly and I don’t want to jinx him but from my eye test he’s one of the conference’s top players. It will be interesting if the covid19 freshman can keep putting up numbers once teams develop schemes to focus on shutting him down.
