My 2020-2021 CAA Teams Through December 22, 2021 - EvanJ - 12-23-2021 11:50 PM

This is from statistics. It is not from watching players, and I did not consider what year the player is in. I made First, Second, and Third Teams. I did not evaluate rookies, transfer newcomers, or defense separately. To be eligible, a player must average 20 minutes per team game and at least 10 points per game and/or at least 8 rebounds per game. The 8 rebounds per game are irrelevant because all three players averaging that many rebounds are averaging at least 10 points. Those are amounts I made up. 32 players are eligible. I excluded some players for being poor shooters or for not doing anything other than scoring, and I expect people to disagree with me. James Madison leads in winning percentage, but Takal Molson leads them with 11.2 points, and I did not pick any of their players. I picked players from six teams, with Elon, UNCW, and William & Mary also not having any. I only chose one player from the five teams south of D.C. Here are my teams with the players in alphabetical order). A * means it matches what preseason team the player was on, and I counted the eight honorable mentions as a preseason third team.

First Team:
Drexel's James Butler* (Player of the Year)
Hofstra's Zach Cooks
Hofstra's Darlinstone Dubar
Towson's Cameron Holden
Delaware's Dylan Painter*

Second Team:
Northeastern's Nikola Djogo
Northeastern's Chris Doherty
Hofstra's Aaron Estrada
Hofstra's Jalen Ray
Drexel's Camren Wynter (Preseason Player of the Year)

Third Team:
Delaware's Ryan Allen
Charleston's John Meeks*
Delaware's Jameer Nelson Jr.*
Towson's Nicolas Timberlake
Northeastern's Shaquille Walters

Here are their statistics. The field goal percentage is in the form "field goal percentage from two-point field goal percentage/three-point field goal percentage." I calculated the two-point field goal percentages. For players with very few threes attempted, I gave their threes made and attempted instead of their percentage from a small sample.

Charleston's John Meeks (.438 from .441/.432, .792, 14.1P, 5.0R, 2.4A, 1.3S, 0.1B, 1.9F, 2.6TO)

Delaware's Dylan Painter (.571 from .592/3 of 9, .813, 14.1P, 7.5R, 1.8A, 0.6S, 0.8B, 2.2F, 2.5TO)

Delaware's Jameer Nelson Jr. (.456 from .522/.356, .579, 13.8P, 5.4R, 2.3A, 1.3S, 0.3B, 2.8F, 2.4TO)

Delaware's Ryan Allen (.462 from .556/.414, 7.14, 13.4P, 2.2R, 1.6A, 0.9S, 0.3B, 1.8F, 1.8TO)

Hofstra's Darlinstone Dubar (.575 from .700/.400, .708, 13.5P, 5.9R, 0.8A, 1.5S, 1.1B, 1.9F, 0.9TO)
