I like the symmetry of conferences with even numbers of teams. It makes late season scheduling easier because no one is stuck being idle.
Who would you add to make for an even 10?
My favorites are UTC or EKU.

That works or maybe Alabama for football only and then maybe Duke or UNC for bball only (hard pass on UK for bball only). I would suggest Kansas for bball only, but that would be a little out of the footprint. And does ND still need a conference? Can't hurt to give them a call.

Stay at 9 for football, but offer some sort of scheduling arrangement to UMass. I’m thinking 3 or 4 games per season. With 2 or 3 in November, when it gets tough to find available OOC opponents.

No on Texas St. They bring nothing to the conference at this time. Get them on the cheap once the Sunbelt kicks them out of the conference. ODU and Marshall love to travel to Texas, lol. Sunbelt East is calling the shots now, good luck Sunbelt West teams.

With only 1 team in Texas compared to 4 in CUSA that's a huge difference. Rarely will we be traveling to Texas in the new Sun Belt.
