ASun class act, CAA classless for JMU - NewTimes - 11-10-2021 07:45 PM

I just read an article from the head of the ASun conference congratulating LU on it's CUSA invite. He stated that LU athletes would be able to compete in the ASun conference championships while LU remains a member.

Counter that with the CAA that has demanded JMU athletes will not be able to compete for conference championships. The action justified by the CAA admin stating it is so noted in the bylaws. The counter, is that in most all other conference realignments, this rule has not been enforced. The mention being it is mostly affecting the students.
ASun - departure with class
CAA - classless departure

The JMU student athletes are being hosed. A pin head, petty ass action by the CAA.

I've liked the ASUN leadership and the unity among the conference. I'm not a fan of each school but it had more to do with Liberty not fitting in rather than disdain for the conference itself. I wish them well and will be cheering for their success.

JMU knew the CAA rules and enforced them on the countless prior former CAA members who left. No sympathy there. JMU athletes can transfer if conference championships are a priority.
