It is just a few weeks until 1st Tip Off in the new expanded ASUN. Ken Pomeroy has posted his '21-22 rankings. The ASUN, as expected climbed up 5 spots from the #26 rated conference in '20/'21 to #21 (between #20 Big West & #22 Metro Atlantic) this season. His individual team rankings are

Hopefully we start an upward trajectory as a conference. It is encouraging to see us rated higher than usual. Now let's get out of the #300+ range and more above the Division I average.

I'm a big fan of playing non D1 schools. We normally can't hoop for ****. But this year is looking solid. 0-2 but both games were within 10 points against good teams. If I'm being rational, I'd say we might be decent ASUN team this year.
But I'm irrational. WERE ******* DANCING IN MARCH!!!!!!! We're gonna walk the ASUN.

I will settle for not being awful as a start..This years team.looks good defensively and on the boards, but has to find some scoring somewhere.. I could see a .500 season if we can find a couple of shooters..That would be a marked improvement.

Rational me: yeah. .500 would be incredible. New coach. Young team. If we get to .500 it'd be a huge success. I honestly think that's optimistic. If we come close to .500 I'll feel really good about the direction we're heading.
Irrational me: **** that man. We're going undefeated in the conference. The ASUN doesn't want the smoke. We're not just a football and baseball school. We're the damn flagship of this conference. We're the best in all 3 major sports. We're dancing. Anything less than the final 4 is a failure this year for KSU basketball!!!

Very cool to see Andy Enfield bring his USC Trojans to play at FGCU. Classy move. It was also a bit of an ASUN throwback night with Jacksonville/UCF and JSU/Troy.

Huge win for Lipscomb over Dayton 78-59. Liberty v @ LSU, JU @ UCF, & UNF v @ASU were all close/or winning in the last five minutes or less but couldn't get it done.
