Not gonna happen even then. Everywhere you look now vaccinated people are coming down with covid. Nothing is going to change, even with 100% vaccination rate.
I am vaccinated and plan on getting the booster when it is available, but let's not kid ourselves.

Infection rate isn't really the important factor now that vaccines are available. The more telling stat is hospitalizations and death rates. Hospitalization is what is dragging everything back to lockdown era decisions. Which is why vaccines are important because they essentially keep you from going to hospital and dying which keeps hospitals from overcrowding which keeps public health officials from making unpopular recommendations re: crowd size, masks, etc. It's not really that complicated. In a vacuum it'd be easy to say this: you want to be unvaccinated (and you're eligible and healthy enough for the shot) then by all means go for it BUT if you get sick you are not allowed a hospital bed. Obviously, that wouldn't happen and thankfully so because we live in a society but that would nip a lot of these hospitalizations in the bud. I'm a lawyer not an MD so JMO.

The Hope\Prayer is with the vaccination this thing affects people about like the flu.
The only way things get 100% back to normal is if the death rate from this thing is greatly reduced...Because it is not going away. It will be around forever just like the flu.
Gotta get the mortality rate to an 'acceptable' level...I know that sounds terrible.

I know this might seem hard to comprehend but the country who leads the world in vaccination % by population also leads the world in new daily covid cases.
You guys run and line up. Dont forget booster 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6 ,7 ,8, 9, 10 either.

Well like I said that'd be in a vacuum and not in reality but that being said it'd solve the problem. My point was the only way to get back to normal is to get hospitalizations down which would be achieved by vaccination rates going up.

Everyone deserves help is needed. But I do feel that insurance companies should charge a premium for people who aren't vaccinated...Just like cigarettes.
You smoke\unvaccinated your rates are much higher. Because your risk of incurring higher health bills are higher.

For sure, just to be clear, I wasn't advocating for that position just an extreme example of how hospitalizations could be drastically decreased in a total nonreality situation. Everybody (vaccinated or not) should be afforded quality healthcare. Once J&J gets FDA approval too I do wonder if some insurance companies will start dinging you for not having it.
