Wow, what a scamdemic. All of this just to get rid of Trump.
The CDC announced, albeit quietly, on Wednesday that the RT-PCR tests used to tell millions of Americans they’re infected with Covid-19 has been unable to accurately differentiate between the various coronaviruses. Of particular note is the inability of these tests to know whether someone is infected with Covid-19 or influenza.
After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorizen preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing alternatives.

The two times I got the rapid test they swabbed for flu as well. Dr told me that sometimes the covid test can show as a false positive on the rapid test if you have the flu so they always checked for both.
I am 1000% sure that most testing places were not being that thorough with the rapid tests.

There is no putting the toothpaste back into the tube on truth and media. Both sides are too dug in to using only their own biased sources that twist or outright lie about information to fit a narrative and continue getting clicks.
Whether the old days of nightly news and daily papers being essentially the only source and too often acting as government mouthpieces were all that much better is another debate entirely.
