Big day for UAB basketball! Andy Kennedy gets a contract extension through the 2026-2027 season and a raise to $725k base plus incentives.
Also, UAB got final approval on a new men's & women's basketball practice facility. The project includes two full-length practice courts, coaches offices, locker rooms and players' lounges for both programs. Construction will start in May and will take 9-12 months to complete.

Yep. Some would be surprised that we have done as well as we have under Paul Junior’s BOT leadership. Thankfully he and some of his cronies are no longer on the board.

Great news. I love that multiple teams are investing in their basketball programs. No reason we shouldn't be a multi-bid league every year. We should AT MINIMUM get 2 bids every year. This starts with basketball programs like UAB.

I hated Andy the player, and for all of those reasons think he is a great coach for UAB. I am glad to see you doing what you must to keep him on board. I expect him to be going for titles soon.
