Two questions if anyone can confirm:
1) assuming the DC restrictions were behind moving this years tourney, did W&M make a pitch to host as I assume JMU did to host?
2) is the 2022 tourney scheduled to be back in DC?

Thanks

The write up is missing two key facts.

#1 - Jaleyn Sims is out for the season with an injury. He didn't play against Elon.
#2 - Shykiem Phillips, our outstanding PG, hadn't played a game all year, until Elon.

The return of Phillips outweighs the loss of Sims. UNCW has a lot of guards and can score, but what we were missing was a top notch PG to run the offense. Phillips may be the best PG in the CAA. He's lightning quick, rarely turns the ball over, and seems to always make the right decision to drive or pass.

I remember being bummed that W&M missed out on Phillips. He seemed like a great get for UNCW.

Appreciate this! Missed the Sims injury somehow; just updated the article. Good news for W&M, not so much for UNCW.
