Well here we go again. The Lady Dukes travel to Charleston, SC to face the CofC Cougars this Saturday and Sunday. 1:00 PM starts both days, both games on FLO>
The Cougars are 5-3 and 1-1 in conference. They split a series last weekend with W&M after having their first 6 conference games postponed. Covid is reeking havoc with most of the CAA teams schedules, not sure how all these postponed games will be made up.
The Dukes are coming off a disappointing loss to NE last Tuesday after winning the first game on Monday. Hope Coach O had a intense week of practice to get the Dukes ready for this weekends two games.
Will be watching!!

Today is a MUST win. Very gritty game yesterday...we are very spoiled in watching our women blow out inferior teams year after year but I had to take a step back yesterday and realize we are relying on brand new faces this year and the CAA is fairly decent this year. Hopefully Peyton heals quick and Tinsley/Ouderkirk continue to see more minutes because they are better than the rest of the bench-could be injuries, could be they’re in the dog house-idk?
We are gonna have to grind out some games this year, they may not be pretty but every win is a win and will help them confidence and experience and hopefully gets the ball rolling for some momentum to upset Drexel and Delaware.

Peyton has some kind of foot injury, per the paper, suffered in the second Northeastern game. May be out awhile. Don't know about Tinsley or Steph, maybe minor injuries, maybe sick? They both played limited minutes yesterday. Coach could also be conserving them. I noticed while perusing the box score that only Kiki and Hazell played more than 30 minutes.
My thoughts on Carodine are that she plays better when she plays more minutes. She not only had a double-double, she grabbed the most rebounds. It's like it takes her a hot minute to wind up and then there's no stopping her. Diouf had the second most and then Rayne because the other two were stealing her thunder
Carodine may be only 5'10 but she plays a lot taller than she is and she is fast.

Dukes off to a sloppy start today. Sean calls a timeout at 6:30 in the 1st quarter after the Dukes 4th turnover. Dukes down 9-3 at this point. Looking sloppy and unfocused so far.

Dukes down by 6 at the end of the 1st quarter 21-15. Could have been much worse they were down by 13 at one point. Sloppy sloppy 1st quarter by the Dukes, they already have 9 TO's need to clean that up.
