Some good games today. Of note, the UAB/Charlotte game on ESPNU is an early game, tipping at 4CST.
Seems too early to say that UNT MUST-WIN both these games this weekend, but we don't know how many games we will all end up playing. And it seems that winning the home games you have is absolutely essential if you want to stay above the crowd this short, weird season. Everybody is losing roadies this year.

Rice was picked last in the conference preseason polls (based on the fact that they lost transfers to Virginia and USC primarily). But you can make a good argument that the transfers we brought in aren't that big of a drop off (and in fact might be a better mix for what we want do on offense).
No other conference coaches like him as a person for the most part, but you have to give Scott Pera coach of the year at this point of the season.
Rice is the first conference team to double digits in wins.

I got it. It’s not ideal, but it’s an adequate backup when I can’t get the game anywhere else.

Tops get a nice home win 81-73 over the Herd. I always feel confident when playing Marshall because they seem to be allergic to defense. No doubt we will get smoked there on Sunday but nice to get the first leg.
