Well TXST posted their OOC basketball schedule today. Pretty disappointing tbh. Oh well, at least we should get some wins out of it.

Honestly outside of the P5 games the one I'm looking forward to the most is against UMHB since they're like 10 minutes from my house. Unfortunately I don't think they're quite the power in basketball that they are in football though.

Nope. It’s not posted yet. We are having some last minute shuffles. They released the home schedule to season ticket holders that got tickets this year, but the full OOC schedule isn’t finalized. It’s not going to be pretty, but it is what it is.

Especially with cost-cutting on the agenda, I'd be good if we just kept those as permanent OOC opponents. Heck, add Kennesaw and maybe Savannah State, too.

All D1 Georgia schools should play each other in basketball annually just like we do for baseball.

I'd love a Georgia D1 round robin. I think I'd like to see it even if UGA and GT won't take part. (Ironically, UGA is the one school I didn't even think about in my post above...)

We play 1 home game against a Division 1 team between November 25th and January 15th.
Season tickets are likely selling like hotcakes.
If anyone hasn't noticed the lack of Division 2 schools on your schedule this season, the reasoning is that a lot of D2 leagues will not resume Athletic competition until 2021. It left most of our OOC slates reduced to games against NAIA and CIAA teams, which are independent of the NCAA and under their own rules.

I think Covid will likely permanently end Tech's refusal to play ULM. Its going to be clear that saving money is good in 2021, and I expect Tech will give in on that end.
I don't anticipate local games completely replacing other games, but it might lead to more games against regional teams perhaps you haven't played a ton in the past despite not really knowing why...
