We are obviously stepping up in competition this week, and on the road as well. At least the game will be indoors so we won’t be battling weather. It looks like maybe Cuse will be without their starting QB after an ankle injury.
They average 17 points a game and give up 25 a game. Their offensive passing and rushing numbers have not been that impressive.
My prediction:
17 - LIBERTY
28 - SYRACUSE
But golly, I sure do hold out hope we get up there and win. We’ve got a chance.

This game looks like LU's best chance to gain a win against a P5 opponent this season.
One interesting advantage for LU is that SU has played four P5 games so far while LU has only played G5 games and one FCS game. The harder competition wears on a team as the season continues. This is an advantage for LU against all three P5 games this season.

I think this is a toss up game. We have a chance and need to bring our A game. Syracuse has disappointed after their breakout year a few years ago. I wonder how hot Dino's seat is. Hopefully we make it hotter.

Lots of injuries definitely makes a difference.
This game feels like last year's Rutgers game. It could go either way.

They are actually ignoring what the media is saying and just looking at it as a 0-0 week. I respect that as they plan and development this week in practice. Most of our players are trusting the process truly looking at what the media is stating as rat poison. Focus is key and that is what they need to do. I have high hopes for the Flames his weekend! Glad that Glass is back from recovery; we will need a former ACC player in the secondary getting some work in on the field.

I think Syracuse wins by 3. I think we are due for a bad game and Syracuse will come out with an emotional high where they play above their talent level as they are inspired to play better with so many injuries. Many times teams play better for a short period before coming back down to earth and I think this will be one of those times.

I think we cut last years loss deficit in half and still come up on the short end of the stick in a much more competitive game.
