Only "positive" in this is that it extends UH's record: five opponents have cancelled on us in four weeks.

Looks like Tulane will have zero tape on UH, and UH will know exactly how to beat us. I'm nervous for game 4 now.

.. sadness

Good grief. Its like Lucy pulling the football away every time Charlie Brown tries to kick it. lol....Well, we remain undefeated a month into the season.

Everything Ive seen tells me a team that has at least one game of hitting and tacking under their belt has a significant advantage over a team that does not. Tulane will probably look like a well oiled machine while we will still be working out first game jitters and miscues. So---I dont think not having film will be a problem for Tulane. I doubt the offense will look any different than last year or the last 8 at W Virginia. Our hope for improvement will come from better execution--not new strategies.

Wow. Poor Houston.

North Carolina couldn't find an opponent for Saturday, wish North Texas had cancelled earlier in the week.

Move the Tulane game up a week, and play Memphis that following week?

RE: Now No. Texas cancels on Houston - C00G - 09-23-2020 01:48 PM

Arkansas St cancelled on Tulsa (@Arkansas St). Houston is supposed to host Tulsa 11/28. Maybe we can move it up to this weekend so we both have a chance for a makeup game on 11/28?

The frustrating part of all this -- UH has ZERO cases of coronavirus. 175 negatives on 175 tests on Friday.

UH is doing its part, but nobody else can seem to keep themselves in check.

I’m actually hearing we may now cancel our season entirely. Apparently the consensus is it’s pointless to waste players eligibility on a meaningless season. Better to cancel and save the year of eligibility.

Just take a redshirt like last year, problem solved

I'm over it. I pray this doesn't happen to the hoops season. Can't imagine how frustrating this is for our players.

I think that basically the idea. The reasoning being you don’t lose eligibility if you don’t play. But if you do play only your seniors get the pandemic exemption. With the possibility of no bowls or any post season losing the eligibility for possibly 6 games just isn’t worth it.

You should pay attention more - no eligibility loss this season if you play or you don't

That’s only for the seniors though.

Ummm.....

The NCAA Division I board of directors voted Friday to give all fall sport student-athletes an additional year of eligibility and an additional year to complete it through a blanket waiver.
