Looks like a solid signee for Sam Houston State.

Furaha Cadeaux De Dieu is 6'8, 220, SO. He did not play this past season due to the State of New Mexico being shutdown for college sports because of COVID.

I love that his last name means "Gifts from/of God" and that it is plural!

Lamar had added 6’10” Valentin Catt out of South Plains College. He’ll have 4 years of eligibility at LU.

Quote: A three-start prospect (247Sports.com) coming out of high school, Catt was considered a top 400 high school prospect. He was also rated as a top-70 player nationally at his position, and among the top 20 in the state.

NMSU recruiting class is better then GCU's.

Theodore is a bucket but I don't think he has stayed a full year at any school he has been at and if his waiver doesn't get approved I see him heading to Europe. He's 23 so in BYU years he should be an incoming freshman. The rest of Jans group coming in is more consistent and dependable. Allen if he plays is the dessert not the main course if NMSU is "back". Should be a very fun season to see what happens and how the news schools adjust to the WAC and how the top end of the WAC adjusts to the new schools.

When was he at BYU?

I think it was meant as sarcasm. In normal college years (age 23), Allen should be thinking about getting paid soon. But in BYU (Mormon) years, his college career would just be getting started.

Teddy Allen would put up Zach Lofton type numbers next season. We all know GCU still has nightmares from Lofton haha GCU will have no one to match up against Allen.

This made me laugh. Love the BYU reference! I also agree with you that Allen is the cherry on top. If NMSU is going to be “back” (not sure they ever really left, TBH) the rest of the class is going to have to be good too. We lost too much to the portal that we are going to need the new guys to step up if we are going to have the type of success we have become accustomed to.

GO AGGIES!!!

RE: 2021-22 WAC Basketball Commitments... - NMSUPistolPete - 05-11-2021 06:54 PM

The return of Gavin Kensmil is big for SFA. He is potentially a 2022 WAC POTY. He was 2021 Southland 1st team last season.

RE: 2021-22 WAC Basketball Commitments... - NMSUPistolPete - 05-11-2021 11:04 PM

Now SFA returns, David Kachelries, a 6'1, 175-lbs, SR who averaged 11.4 ppg and 4.4 apg.

Good to have some SFA posters here, welcome. Hopefully you can bring some friends to give us a more balanced view. From the current makeup of posts one would believe Tarleton is the state's undisputed flagship institution, bigger than all the others combined.

lmao for real. Hope to see some of the new schools fans coming over and posting more. I can’t wait til basketball season. SFA very impressive with their resume.

BTW if any SFA fans are around I got a question. Is it difficult to get tickets to your home basketball games? I know the schedules aren’t out yet but if NMSU plays there I’m definitely going. I’m only 3-4 hours away and that’s definitely not a game I’d miss. I’m just not sure how the attendance is there and if it’s gonna be hard to get tickets.
